What I read
While I was away I read two books and have nearly finished a third. I prefer murder/thriller/crime stories the best, though these books fell more to the literature side of things. The first book was called The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. I really enjoyed this book a lot. It felt more like reading an autobiography of sorts than fiction. The next book I read was Depths by Hening Mankell. Carsten said he thought I would like this book a lot. I did like it but not a lot. I had thought I really disliked the book until I finished reading it and thought it over. Then I came to the conclusion that I only hated the main character. In short, he was an ass and it was basically impossible t fell any sympathy or positive emotion toward him. The book I am reading now is called The Cave by Jose Saramago. Not the easiest book to read, but none of his books are. I really enjoy his style of writing, but one really has to focus when reading them.
