You want me to do what?

Sometimes in my class we are given tasks that I don't think I could even do in English, let alone in German. And today I was given a task that perfectly demonstrates what I am talking about. My task was to plan a street festival here in Freiburg. I needed to plan where, how to advertise it, how to have food and drinks available, how many people I wanted there, what I would have for entertainment and how to organize the entertainment. Um, I don't even really know any street names here let alone know how to plan a party on one! So, I pulled something out of my thin air and it seemed to be enough for the teacher today. However, I found out that this is exactly the type of thing I will need to do for my big exam in November. All of this leaves me with one question: Why am I here doing this again?
