I am asked often when I will be back in the States for a visit. That is such a hard one to answer. It would be nice to be home for a bit before the end of this year; however, Carsten thinks I should focus more energy on finding work (which is also a good idea). I stated I think I should go for a visit before I begin working since I don't think I find a job that will give me much vacation time. Of course it all comes down to money and being able to pay for a ticket, my student loans and everyday expenses. All of this also depends on my classes and my schedule with that. I am not exactly sure when I will finish my integration course, though I believe it is the end of October sometime. If only I was independently wealthy and Sallie Mae was out of my life :)

It's been one year!
It was Memorial Day weekend 2008 that Carsten left Chicago and moved to Munich with Zoe and Lela. That means it was also one year ago that I was hopping from place-to-place for the summer. Though it was a bit of a pain to never feel settled, I had a great time with everyone I stayed with. It is hard to believe it has already been one year since I went through that. I have been living in Germany for almost 8 months now; that is also hard to believe. Sometimes it feels like I just got here and other times it feels like I have been here forever.
