Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day. It is the first year in some time that I have not been involved in some sort of outreach or programming that honors today. For those of you who are interested in more information about World AIDS Day click here or here or here. Today is the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. In 1988 the World Health Organization announced the first World AIDS Day to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS as well as provide opportunities to understand and support persons living with HIV/AIDS.
